Generally speakng, if I love an album on first listen,
it usually becomes boring very quickly and ends up on my shelf collecting dust.
I think the greatest albums are the ones that get better and better with each listen.
    Examples..
    Astral Weeks
    Steven Wilson's Hand Cannot Erase
    Aqualung
    Kamasi Washington 's The Epic

Just having voted in the 1975 album thread then arriving here, I realize I had forgotten to list Born to Run in this thread.

    The Yes Album
    Bowie - Ziggy Stardust
Be Bop Deluxe - Axe Victim
Blue Oyster Cult - Tyranny And Mutation
Buggles - The Age Of Plastic
    Cheap Trick - Heaven Tonight
Nick Lowe - Labour Of Lust
Dave Edmunds - Tracks On Wax 4
    XTC - The Black Sea
    Psychedelic Furs - Mirror Moves
    Lene Lovich - Stateless
Book Of Love - Book Of Love
    New Order - Brotherhood
Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells II
    Yes - 90125
    Depeche Mode - Violator
    Pretty & Twisted - Pretty & Twisted
    Martina McBride - Martina

I'm sure there are more... lots more... but those are the ones I remember tonight. And I have to mention that, although the impact was instant, I've liked all of these albums an awful lot as time passed. As a matter of fact I still listen to many of then now.
