    Isn't it correctly selecting 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the same race?

That was the first 'trifecta' that came to mind. To round out the trifecta of Kinks trifectas, I'll add these two...

    Something Else By The Kinks
    "David Watts"
    "Death Of A Clown"
    "Two Sisters"

    Muswell Hillbillies
    "20th Century Man"
    "Acute Schizophrenia Paranoia Blues"
    "Holiday"

I know this one's been mentioned already, but I don't think there's anything that can top...

Highway 61 Revisited - Bob Dylan
    "Like A Rolling Stone"
    "Tombstone Blues"
"It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry"

...and 2 more from Bob (that haven't been mentioned)...

    The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
    "Blowin' In The Wind"
    "Girl From The North County"
    "Masters Of War"

    Blood On The Tracks
    "Tangled Up In Blue"
    "Simple Twist Of Fate"
    "You're A Big Girl Now"

    Famous Blue Raincoat
(Of course, the next song is Joan Of Arc, so I'm reaching a touch here...)

I actually thought there would be a lot more, but turns out many of my faves save an absolute killer track for number four.

  23. Could never forget, it was the first album I ever bought with my own money! I played that mutha to death for the next 2 years. The lead off track is magical, one of the best opening tracks ever, but 'Can't Let Go' is no match for 'Fantasy'.

But "In the Marketplace" and "Jupiter" are no match for "After the Love Has Gone". ;)

  25. Some great choices there especially Innervisions, Blue, ITCOTCK, Doors and Monk's Music.
