I think of all the numerous major plane crashes that have occurred over the past year including a cessna which crashed into a neighbouring city just last week destroying 3 houses and killing one resident as well as passengers on the plane.

I was walking to work in midtown the morning of 9-11 -- the sound of that plane flying toward downtown was very loud and low -- that's what I think of when I hear a plane overhead.

It makes me think of the days (before our time) of Constellations crossing the Atlantic, before passengers became treated as sardine-like creatures.

:) ehm...not to nitpick, but "Back in the U.S.S.R." features sounds of a Viscount jet, not a 707

Whenever I hear an LAPD helicopter flying overhead I think of Blue Thunder and I wonder if there's a JAFO on board.

I think of Over the Moon by Pretty Things and Early Morning Rain by Elvis.

And if there aren't any planes in the sky, I think of The Great Airplane Strike by Paul Revere and the Raiders.
