    The Addams Family.
    Unique for time period.

I voted for The Munsters because that's what I preferred as a kid. Plus, although I also watched The Addams Family as well, whenever I think of it I can't help but think of this version...

Raul Julia and Anjelica Huston were both great in it.

So true, but I like The Addams Family more than The Munsters, always have. I think the former is at least one cut above the latter in terms of comedy and the acting.

I liked the Al Lewis/Fred Gwynn repartee. Plus the cooler cars.

Almost a tie. But I liked the dragon under the stairs better than Thing, so I voted The Munsters.

John got Patty Duke. A hot dog makes her lose control.

Near the end of his life, Al had a resurgence of fame via appearances on Howard Stern. On nice days Al would sit outside of his restaurant in Greenwich Village and good-naturedly swear at the passersby. So while I have no picture of my encounters, I have the memory of Al's "kind" words. :)

I had to laugh at your post, just yesterday the theme song from The Patty Duke show kept playing in my head. God knows why.

All the advances of science made in the last 50 years, and still no one has been able to provide a biological explanation for identical cousins. It makes you think.

Oddly enough, I strongly preferred the Addams Family as a kid, but now prefer The Munsters. I know AF is smarter, but The Munsters to me is more fun. I have both on DVD and watch The Munsters more often. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that The Munsters has more cool 60s memorabilia- hot rods, 60s pop bands, etc. Plus Al Lewis and Fred Gwynn really crack me up. But the Addams cast is brilliant, particularly John Astin. The Munsters makes me laugh and AF makes me smile.

Have seen more of the Munsters, so them. Adams Family wasn't on quite as often in reruns, but I think I'd pick them if I'd seen as many hours as I did the Munsters.

I remember having this discussion back in grade school. :)

I watched them both back when they were in their first run. I really liked The Munsters and I loved The Addams Family.

The Munsters was fun, The Addams Family was like it's own reality, in a way. I was crazy about The Addams Family!

I saw some of both in reruns over the years. The Munsters did not age well for me. The Addams Family still seemed great after all these years.

I bought The Addams Family DVD sets, one season at a time. I did not start watching them until after I had them all. To my surprise, they did not hold up as well as I thought when I watched a few discs - episodes back to back - in one viewing session. Too many gags repeated episode after episode. Not a problem when I watched them once a week but binge watching was not working for me.

I still like watching an episode or a few episodes at a time. Great stuff.

Would "The Zombo Show" be eligible for a write-in vote?
