Finally. But I was hoping that these would come in much closer to my Amazon.ca pre-order price of $63 delivered. The POP price is absurd! Oh well, I guess I'm going to have to wait the additional time for shipping...

Strange that the special edition is not listed on Amazon yet.

That is a great idea, and something that I would love to hear.

You know, if Paul really wanted to highlight these new Archive releases he should include an informal piano/guitar set in the middle of the show and feature him alone performing some of the songs and talking about the albums like he did when he told the stories when he played songs by himself when the rest of the band left the stage. He should call it the archive set.

He could have an audience member up each night to wave the sword.

Assuming there was any audience left after Ebony and Ivory.

Being a fan of the avant garde McCartney and his more obscure musical experiments, these literally include some of my fav songs from his canon. I wish he would make a comp of some of these, but also include some unreleased stuff, and make that album "Paul McCartney Goes Too Far", (an album that Lennon suggested in the 60's.) That said, a couple of these are just dance tunes, which I think are vastly underrated, because a) Classic rock fans simply don't like b) Many McCartney fans don't like and c)Dance music fans don't give it a chance because it is Paul. It is a shame the categorization of music has become so finite. Paul is like the Encyclopedia of Music (album title?), which is why I love him.
PS - thanks for the great mixtape idea. Wouldn't change a thing.

I volunteer but only if he plays Ebony and Ivory 2x - the solo version, then brings Stevie up!

Of course I was just having fun with the idea. I actually like "Blue Sway" quite a bit. And "Good Sign" is okay to me too -- a bit too long perhaps, but I'm okay with the idea. Any artist who has been around long enough will have some songs that the average fan finds less than enjoyable. But I applaud McCartney's willingness to venture outside of his comfort zone from time to time and try something different. Some ideas work out better than others in the end, but at least he gives it a shot. I can't imagine, say, George Harrison having stuff like that in his archives, for better or for worse as one might see it -- I'm guessing there is no version of "P.S. Love Me Do" with his name on it.

I agree, I would happily pay to see a show like that. Does that make me sick in the head? :D

Anyone else waiting for the remasters to listen to these lps again? I almost always wait, the hardest part, until I get my grubbies on the re-release.
Should be noted that I usually go through the Macca catalog about every 6 months or so.

Yes. Very difficult to resist, especially since I usually leave this thread with a song from these albums stuck in my head for the rest of the day!

I'm with you, although you're making it further than me. I just had to listen to The Pound is Sinking today, I wanted to listen to the rest of the album, but it didn't happen ;)

Indeed. The original price was $150 including shipping, but the few remaining copies will be offered for much higher prices until they are sold out. Then perhaps a few people will resell their copies for even higher prices.
