Just realized that I'll be deploying my Ringo ticket less than 3 months from now - first time I've seen him since 1989. So I thought I'd start a thread - anyone heard any buzz? Will the band line-up be the same? Setlist speculation?

I'm seeing him for the first time in Toronto in October. The lure of Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie
and the Who/Joan Jett show the night before were too much for me. When I finally saw Paul a
couple of years back I spent most of the first night in tears - those Beatles memories came flooding
back - but I don't think that I'll be crying at Massey Hall. But tomorrow never knows.

Saw him with this lineup a few years ago at the Wharf in Gulf Shores, AL. Good show. Look for Ringo to be up front on vocals a LOT. Bissonette is one hell of a drummer.

In 1989, I was struck that his voice didn't really seem to have aged much over the years, certainly compared to McCartney - wonder if that still holds true?

I'm seeing Ringo on Halloween in Brooklyn. I paid a lot for the pair of tickets I bought. I think they're in "the pit" or something.

Ringo looks unbelievably good these days. Very trim and fit.

Halloween? Not the first time a Beatle has been to Brooklyn. Halloween? Ringo will be masquerading
As a peace & love hippy.

So far I'm going to be missing him in Brooklyn this October. I saw him in 2014 and in 2012 ... and lots of times from 1989 onward. But there's still time for me to get a ticket... just wish he would change up his lineup like he used to (this is the same band he's toured with for at least 3 years).

Bumping this, since we're now just a month out from the tour kick-off. Any word if it's still the same line-up and setlist? I think Ringo floated the idea of doing "I'm the Greatest."

    Lineup yes, setlist probably.

    Hi,

Thought I'd give this a bump. Sounds like the line-up is going to be the same, but I'm curious if anyone's heard anything about the setlist? At some point he mentioned adding "I'm the Greatest" in there. All the Ringo news of late is focused on his auction and book.

A good ten day stretch for me!! :goodie:

Very nice. I believe tonight is the Ringed One's first gig of the tour. I'm seeing him a week from today. I kind of want to be surprised a bit by the setlist, but I know I will end of Googling it tomorrow morning to see what he's going to play.

I thought that interview wasn't bad! At least it wasn't just the same old tired Beatles questions over and over...

True - the guy is just such a tool, in general, that I have a hard time giving him credit for anything...

You have to highlight it with your curser. I did that to avoid being too much of a spoiler.

I believe his take is that he has to do Yellow Submarine and they are too similar to do both.
Was very psyched to see OG at the Ringo and the Roundheads show I attended at Irving Plaza (where he actually did both - having to dig deeper playing a whole show of his songs).

I would rather hear Octopus Garden than Yellow Submarine, too.

Agree that "Octopus' Garden" would be a nice addition - in fact, if he added that one, I think that would check off most of the key numbers I'd really like to hear him do. Of course, I'd love for him to break out "Sentimental Jare-ney" and do that goofy dance from the promo film, but I fear that ain't gonna happen.

OK. I prefer to use the Spoiler tag:

    Ringo set list

Left square bracket - the word spoiler - right square bracket
    Content
Left square bracket - slash - the word spoiler - right square bracket

Thanks for posting that. Nice to see that Todd is still getting three songs.

Fair enough - I can understand that the source can sometimes taint your view of the work!
