I included the best of the solo albums as well. :)

    @JohnnyQuest,
Seeing as you dig both Ghostface and Amy Winehouse, I'm assuming you've heard this one from his remix album?

 I love this remix. One of my most played songs on More Fish. I enjoy it more than the original which is never the case with Hip-Hop remixes.

So many great titles. Very difficult but I think this is my top 5:
    1. GZA - Liquid Swords
    2. Wu-Tang - Enter the Wu-Tang
    3. Method Man - Tical
    4. ODB - Return to the 36th Chamber (and MAD respect for 'N*gga Please'!)
    5. Dead heat betwixt Cuban Linx and Iron Man. I can't choose!

Only one of the 'classics' I haven't heard is Supreme Clientele. Guess I better get crackin'...

For me, 'Liquid Swords' edges out 'Enter the Wu-Tang' for the crown. I just find it a bit more memorable, and it maintains more of an overall thematic arc throughout the record. The fact that I dig 'Shogun Assassin' and the 'Lone Wolf and Cub' flicks doesn't hurt either.

I voted for Enter The Wu Tang, but I also could've gone with Liquid Swords. It was a toss up for me. I'm late in getting into the Wu Tang catalog, and only within the past year did I pick up Cuban Linx. I have some singles from ODB and Ghostface, but not the full length albums. I've had Tical, Enter The Wu Tang, and Liquid Swords for quite a while though.

Whenever I'm in a gritty and gloomy mood I listen to "Liquid Swords". That's dark alley music.

I'm sorry but U-God is often overlooked (deservedly so) and isn't on anyone's radar.

I figured you were saving all the U-God/Masta Killa/Inspecta Deck and Killa Priest titles for the 'Name your Favorite Lesser-Wu' thread...:uhhuh:

Inspectah Deck and Cappadonna have classic debut albums but I left them out of this poll because neither of those would get a vote. :)
They're outclassed. Those are more suitable for a "Most Underrated Wu-Tang Solo album" thread. :D

I like U-God (have you heard him beatbox?), but I was just messing with you.

I'm serious about the ghost dog score, though. that record is a good eye-opener for folks who have no knowledge of the existence of instrumental hip-hop. 'dead birds' in particular is sublime.

36 Chambers is the only one I still have a copy of....but that ODB album was really special too. Most of the rest of that stuff did not get anywhere with me.
