"Iron Butterfly" Touring Now

That Eric Barnett dude is good.

 

They're playing somewhat locally in a couple months and when I looked at their site when the gig was announced, it still listed Ron Bushy as a touring member. Even then, I was pretty skeptical but now I'm not interested at all.

 

Kinda like the "Blood Sweat and Tears" syndrome (ie., no original members).

 

Bushy & Pinera were supposed to be involved.
Guess neither is now or for the time being.

 

I believe Ron Bushy has had health problems. Doug Ingle Jr. was supposedly going to be involved at one point but dropped out.

I also thought I read that they had a falling out with Pinera because he had started an alternate version Iron Butterfly and was playing gigs without permission from the other former members and their families.

 

FRAUD

 

No original members but I must say, Dave Meros from Spock's Beard is a awesome bassist and musician.

 

This just isn't right. A tribute band as far as I'm concerned.
