She could do no wrong during those years. By that time Madonna was starting to alienate many fans with her sexual escapades. :p
Seems like Janet just swooped in and picked up those fans that were starting to drift away from Madge. Lol

I'm not the least bit bent out of shape. I'm perfectly fine. It takes far more than forum posts to darken my day...;)

Ok, good! If the OP was more specific, like "5 or more top 10 hits" I wouldn't have listed some of the ones I did.

Back in the early 80s the British new romantic band ABC had 4 Top 20 singles with their debutalum, Lexicon of Love.

    Poison Arrow
    All of My Heart
    The Look of Love
    Tears Are not Enough

It's still regarded as a classic album from that period, particularly over here, alongside the Human League and others.

Lead singer Martin Fry had a great voice.

It's likely just my knowledge of the poster involved. I knew what he was going for. I knew he meant several. I went back and look at the OP and I see what happened. The thread title is one thing and the post is kind of another. No worries.

I didn't have time to go back and edit it. By the time I realized the error it was too late.
I was hoping no one would notice but knowing how this board is I knew it was only a matter of time before someone did.

At least this way, the thread is open to more possible albums. I would imagine the number of albums with 5 "hits" or more would be a fairly short list.

LOL! We are only at page 5, but I'm even running out of ideas for albums that have 4 bonafide hits.

Nice, New Kids On The Block. :) How about Paula Abdul's Forever Your Girl:
"Straight Up", the title song, "Cold Hearted" and "Opposites Attract" all topped the Hot 100. "It's Just The Way That You Love Me" was stopped at No. 3. I believe the L.A. Reid/Babyface track "Knocked Out" was a hit on the R&B chart too.

One more 80s teen pop starlet:
Debbie Gibson: Out Of The Blue

"Only In My Dreams" and "Shake Your Love" both topped out at No. 4. "Out Of The Blue" peaked at No. 3. "Foolish Beat" was a No. 1 (Debbie was 17 when she wrote, produced and performed that hit). "Staying Together" fell a bit short, peaking at No. 22. Suffice to say, I owned Out Of The Blue on cassette in 1987 (and thought Debbie was cute). :o

Spellbound also had two No. 1s, a Top 10, and two Top 20s. And to think a lot of people really just know her for American Idol, not as one of the top hitmakers of 1988-1991.
