What was the first album to have 4+ Top 10 hits (when the album was current, so not albums that packaged previous hits)? Saturday Night Fever? It had four No. 1 hits in 1978 (three by the Bee Gees, and one by Yvonne Elliman). It seems like prior to that, three was the 'typical' number of hits per album.

This reminded me of two more "girl" albums that were hit loaded:

    Baby Baby #1
    Every Heartbeat #2
    Good For Me #8
That's What Love Is For #7
    I Will Remember You #20

Not as many big hits on this one, but still not too shabby:

    Beauty And Tbe Beast
    Nothing Broken But My Heart
    If You Asked Me To
    Love Can Move Mountains

Well, technically "Introducing The Beatles" would qualify, and "Rumours" would've come out before SNF.

David Bowie's Let's Dance from 1983 had four songs chart heavy on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Chart, counting 'Without You' makes all of side one packed with chart worthy tunes (I had no idea that song was a single).
Modern Love #6 in US 1983
China Girl #3 in US 1983
    Let's Dance #8 in US 1983
Without You #73 (Billboard Hot 100) in US 1983
    From side 2:
Cat People (Putting Out Fire) #6 in US 1983

True, Rumours had four Top 10s in 1977. So I would deduce that labels had the idea of pushing 4 (or more) singles off an album in the late 70s (for albums that were sales phenomenons like Rumours, SNF and Grease), and then the trend just exploded in the 80s to the point that it became almost 'normal' or expected for a multiplatinum album to spin off at least 4 hits in the late 80s and 90s. I can think of huge 70s albums that could absolutely have had 4+ hits, like Hotel California or Bad Girls. But that wasn't quite how they did it then.

This is easily one of the strangest music videos I've ever seen.
Looks like Kenny G, George Michael, John B and one of the dudes from Milli Vanilli formed a R&B group, became deserted on an island and ended up falling in love with a mannequin.

In Donna's case, they were in too much of a rush to get new product out.:D

'Dim All The Lights' from 'Bad Girls' was still in the top 5 when her duet with Streisand, '(No More Tears) Enough Is Enough' from her second album release of 1979, 'On The Radio' was put out.:)

It did even better in the UK, where 'When' was also a single.

A few years ago after my marriage failed, I lived in a sharehouse with a gay guy who worshipped Mariah Carey and would play her morning, noon and night. I came very close to having a mental breakdown

Frankie Valli's title song; the two Olivia/Travolta hits; and Olivia's "Hopelessly Devoted To You" were all US Top 5 hits. In the UK, "Sandy" (No. 2) and "Greased Lightning" (No. 11) were also hits, for John Travolta.

@kanno1ae I'm watching the music video and laughing so hard that I'm in tears. :biglaugh:
So they're all day dreaming about sexing up the same girl? Awkward and filthy.
Kenny G had first dibs on the mannequin. Smh  I wouldn't touch anything after that dude.
