New toy: Sansui AU-717*

    Definitely. Doesn't look terribly complicated. Just take a lot of time working on it and I have to make sure I have a spare amp when I repair this one! Haha

    I've had my Sansui AU-717 since 1979. It still works great!

    Lucky you this is a true working horse with lot hp under the hood beside singing the sweet Sansui melody I'm very sure you got lots of fun with this Combo
    I'm a owner too of this fine Japanese Amp
    Beside got some other Sansuis
    Try this one too if possible :righton: AU-X1

    Agree it's a cool one mine is with TTC following up model
    777D
    Not many of amps in 1968 got this features

    I thought i got lucky when I got a au-717 ,tu-717 and a SR838 for $400. you got a great deal.
    I went a head and did a full recap and took out some of those fuse resistors cleaned all the contacts etc.
    It's doing duty as my back up amp when I don't want to heat up the room with tubes ;)

    I had 2 of this black beautys i gave one to a very good friend as a bday gift
    he's very happy about the sound ,design and the heavy build quality
    He said the 777 fits good to his Harley
