Not to nitpick but, "Chicago IX" was a Greatest Hits album, and "Chicago X" peaked at #3 not #4.

You are right. "Chicago IX" was the first vinyl compilation of their greatest hits from their first seven albums and "Chicago X" indeed peaked at #3.

The official title of their 9th album release is "Chicago IX - Greatest Hits".

It's amazing that they only appeared on SNL once, and it was to promote their worst ever record "Chicago 13". The week they appeared the album was in its last week on the Billboard charts, and they played "I'm a Man" from their first record as their first number, saving "Street Player" for last.

    To each his own.
There was no dull moment on a band with Terry as the guitarist + the prolific songwriting talents of Lamm and Pankow + the three distinctive vocals of Terry, Lamm and Cetera + the exciting brass instrument arrangements featuring Pankow (trombone), Loughnane (trumpet) and Parazaider (woodwinds).
