Wholly smokes..Jeff Buckley's Grace in 24/192. With mastering provenance!
New mastering but still references 1994 and 2004 and i noted Sony supplied info is nonsense.

The Dylan 192 albums may indeed be fresh transfers.

I thought "Grace" was a 44.1/16 digital recording... Was it the 44.1/16 source mastered in 192/24 with a lot of file "headspace" like the recent Rush reissues (e.g., "Moving Pictures" 2015)?

there's a track on the Selena Gomez album with a DR score of 3. I don't listen to a lot of this sort of thing but I find that pretty staggering.

I'm ordering Jeff Buckley's Grace, NOW! Still on the fence as to whether I wish to buy Bowie's Five Years Set though. Reviews are fairly positive I gather?!

I thought I read on here that it was cobbled together from previous releases, thus not a new transfer or new masters (if that is important to you).

Ah, gotcha. Well I still don't really own anything Bowie so maybe this is a good start?!

It seems HD vendors are magicians...they can make 192 albums appear out of thin air.

All but 2 albums are new mastering and sound great. If you don't own Bowie (as I didn't) it's a no brainer buy imho

The 2004 date given on HDTracks for the Buckley is the same year that the "Legacy Edition" was released, yet there aren't any of the bonus tracks found on that edition present on this new release.

It's strange to me that ORG would release a SACD just last year, and now there's suddenly a brand-new hi-res release that claims to be yet another new remaster? Is this new one simply a digital transfer of the SACD?

Does anyone have the Purple Rain HDtracks release?

I just discovered that "The Beautiful Ones" has a bit missing at the start.

The new release code is HDOCT09.
TASHD15 is another new one that will work store-wide.

[edit: These are both for HDTracks.]

4 of 6 Bowie titles are new remasters that are very dynamic and sound good (Space Oddity) to excellent (Hunky Dory, The Man Who Sold the World, Pin Ups), IMO. The other two are older remasters (2012, 2013) that are somewhat limited (DR 9, DR 10) and sound OK.

    Thanks.

Edit, I'm not going to be home again until Monday night to download it. If I buy it now does it sit in my download queue until I can trigger it on Monday night?

    My weekend listening room. :D

It is easy to check on a spectrogram if a conversion from DSD was done. If somebody sends me the pics I can have a look.
