    Record cleaner.
Will you get good results ?
Just for the odd vinyl title.
Keith Monks and Loricraft are way out of my price league.

Very good results, at my home since almost ten years and it work perfectly ! But I don't use the liquid from the box ( make a sort of grease layer wich I don't like ), I use a mix of wash liquid and warm water. The sound result is amazing ! More Clear and precise, deeper bass. You won't be sorry !

Drying about 15/20 minutes, there's always little gouts wich you can removed with paper towel. The real deal with this machine is to clean the record/Play the record, what a real pleasure !

Is it the same model for 30 years, or do they modify every so often ?

Had a Knosti before moving to my Okki Nokki RCM. The Knosti does give decent results for the money - recommended!

I use a Knosti for new LPs only - their fluid completely kills static. RCM & steam for everything else

Modified Knosti clamp should work, but the guy who makes them is away at the moment. I'm waiting for contact so I can buy one myself. They are made to order, so you have to email him.

    http://highqual.co.uk/clamp-pictures/4580316614

The problem with the normal clamp is that it's too small and will also cut into the label or even dead wax slightly when tightened up enough to stop fluid getting in.

I use my knosti a little differently to most.

    1) Spray on Keith Monks enzyme solution if necessary, on one side of the record only.
    2) Holding the clamp on the opposite side and pushing it so that the coated side of the record is pushed into the brush, spin the record until you get an even coating of the fluid.
    3) Wait a bit for the enzymes to work
    4) Spray on Keith Monks normal cleaning fluid
    5) Quickly, repeat step 2 and go over the record multiple times for a few mins
    6) Immediately after you stop, spray on loads of distilled water, keep spinning the record as you do this for a few sprays and turns
    7) Repeat step 2 again, keep an eye on the water to make sure it is beading up and you are getting rid of the cleaning solution, spray on more water if needed
    8) Take the record out and flip it so that the other side is now against the brush you were using
    9) repeat 1 to 7 for this side
    10) Rinse the first side again but leave the record in the Knosti, don't flip it around. This should get rid of any solution that has strayed over to the other side of the record.

I would also mark one side of the Knosti, the side with the brush you will use for applying the solution, so that you use that side every time and avoid polluting the other brush with solution too much.

It's impossible to avoid a small puddle of solution building up in the bottom of the bath and getting around the edge of the record. Perhaps spray off any foam around the edge of the record once you've removed it from the Knosti.

If you can spare the distilled water, fill the Knosti with it and swill it around to wash the brushes. I also poke a ruler down in there to knock off any debris that may be in the brushes once they've dried out. I have been using tap water to swill out though as I have to order distilled water from Amazon (they don't sell it in shops here).

Results are definitely better than what I was doing before, which was using the solutions on the record as it span on the turntable and then trying to rinse it off with the water after. This did get rid of some stuff but not a huge amount.

2 knostis work best. One using the cleaner and the other with distilled water for rinsing.

Yep, and you can buy the baths on their own so you don't need to get the whole thing twice. I'm aiming on getting one as soon as possible.

Always been very happy with my Knosti, but I quickly stopped using the supplied fluid; I use MoFi's 'One' instead, followed by their 'Pure' (I think it's called) as a rinse. Excellent results.
