Are you guys listing your favorites or just naming groups that have multiple singers.

Personally I'm not familiar with some of the new bands

I'm trying to stick to the former. But I'm sure you know sooner or later this thread will turn into the latter. :)

On their first album, Steely Dan: Fagen, Palmer, Hodder and Becker.

For me, that would be ZONE. All five members sang lead depending on the song. I think part of the reason I love them is because they never struck me as egotistical. They always did their best, and made every song more important than who was singing it.

In a situation not dissimilar to The Who, where Pete writes everything and sings one or two songs per album instead of Roger, Martin Gore fills the same role in Depeche Mode, with at least one song per album (several on Black Celebration) featuring him on lead vocals instead of Dave Gahan. This also includes a few single releases: A Question of Lust and Home. Martin often does at least one song during a Depeche Mode show where the original studio version was sung by Dave.

Maybe not a favorite, but I do like them: The Doobies, who at one point had at least three (Johnston, McDonald, Simmons).

  11. Earth Wind & Fire. Maurice White and Philip Bailey, great voices, great vocal arrangements.

Poco. Even through multiple line up changes over the years, they always had great singers and writers. Rusty Young was a late bloomer who helped them break through on radio in later years.

Jefferson Airplane had three talented singers and songwriters in Grace Slick, Paul Kantner and Marty Balin.

The first line-up of Steeleye Span is hard to beat for sheer vocal quality, with Maddy Prior, Gay Woods, Tim Hart and Terry Woods all singing.
