According to the individual who runs the HD Database Facebook page, the band members are being represented by the same legal counsel.
This, as every fan knows, is an unprecedented, if not downright miraculous, show of solidarity.

After recently watching the Grant Hart documentary "Every Everything"(excellent, btw) I never would've bet on any of these guys getting together to do anything with each other ever again. I'm shocked.

In other news, Grant is working on a new album called Pop Manifest-Os, and a Spanish label is reissuing his hard-to-find acoustic live album from '95, Ecce Homo.

Bob just did a tour where he played solo elecftric and did every song from his next album-- which is great stuff, up there with his best, and he's clearly excited about it. I would guess that reforming Husker is the last thing on his mind.

I don't think anyone -- not even the fans -- wants a reunion. A full remaster campaign would be the best possible outcome from a thawing of relations, IMO.

This is what I'm hoping for and now believe may actually come to pass.

God no Husker reunion. Please. It was sad to see "The Replacements" with only half the band there. If Chris Mars had been there I guess I could've accepted it. But he's pursuing his other talents.

As much as I love the band, I'm no longer interested in official merch like t-shirts, coffee mugs or tea cozies. My interest in that sort of stuff has waned as I've gotten older. My interest in the music, however, remains as strong as ever, so I hope the site will eventually incorporate a musical component.

I'm looking forward to the remasters!! - especially the old SST ones with better sound and - hopefully - expanded!

This is great news to hear for a long time fan of Husker Du!

Good news. His last one, The Argument, was freakin' brilliant, a double length cd that was actually justified .

Never thought I'd see the day. I don't want a reunion, just a well done series of deluxe editions, perhaps with period live shows added on. Maxwell's '84, please.:)

I have a friend "in the know" that I can't disclose that is very close to the band. Trust me on this.

If such a thing does come to pass, I hope Numero gets to do the honours. They did a wonderful job on the Statues / Amusement reissue and their full catalogue resurrections of Codeine, Unwound and Bedhead give a whole new meaning to "labour of love".

I'd be hard-pressed to name a more deserving band that hasn't been reissued in recent years. This is spectacular news! (Assuming the tea leaves are correct here.) #fingerscrossed

This was one of the great live bands of the '80s, and over and over again, fans at the time said seeing them live was far better than hearing them on record. (Most of this may have to do with Spot's production/mixing of those records which were far from an accurate reflection of their live sound.) More live releases would be especially welcome. At the very least re-release their 1985 London show (which was never released on DVD):

A listenable New Day Rising would be a blessing. Never has there been a better, worse-sounding record.

Maybe. On the other hand a brief Hüsker Dü tour would generate a ton of publicity for Mould which would benefit his solo career. Hart could use the money and Norton could use a break from his gig as a chef/restaurateur. For these reasons, I don't think it's out of the question. Personally I'd rather they didn't reform, but I'm sure other fans feel differently.
