They're all over Amazon UK; both counterfeits and boots. Not just Beatles stuff, either.

I have the Russian fake Japanese and wouldn't be without them as I love the compilations and have the Hollywood Bowl disc too as they fit in with my US Albums, Mono Box and Shm Abbey Road and Let it Be nicely. Someone should make replica mini lp covers for the 2009 stereos.

Sounds like a serious issue for law enforcement involvement.

Yep. And if you report it to Amazon they do precisely nothing.

Same with eBay. All kinds of pirated stuff. I've reported some, and got replies essentially saying that unless I'm the copyright holder it's none of my business.

  10. They've done it before on some items from gray market areas including hey Jude before it was offically released.

No, Amazon does not allow the sale of bootlegs.

Sheesh, those are really nice. Yeah they are boots/counterfeits/pirates, but they sure did a nice job with them.

That's bull. There are many Beatles and Floyd bootlegs repressed in mini LP sleeves for sale on Amazon - I just saw "Animal Instincts" on there. Not to mention, I think Amazon sells a low-quality bootleg of NIN's "Closure" DVD set.

And then there's the CD's claiming to be from EMI Japan - all those volumes of Pink Floyd's "BBC Sessions."

They are not Bootlegs but Pirates (although not in print and never available originally on Cd) they are most certainly not official, buy them and enjoy them they will be good quality needledrops which you could get for free with a bit of searching on the internet :)!!

The bottom line here is this is the FAN DOLLAR talking, and if anyone in the industry has one quarter ounce of brain matter left inside their noggin, they know the loyals are the ones that keep that scuzzy-but-necessary boot/pirate ship sailing, especially when you have names like Beatles,Dylan,Bowie, Zeppelin,Stones,Floyd and all the usuals. They also should just take a deep breath & hold their tongues because these people are the exact same ones to come running when things like "Anthology", "How The West Was Won", "The Cutting Edge", "Beat The Boots" and all the rest are issued legally.

Beauty. How's the sound quality? I have a CDR made off of the Love Songs master tape. I wonder if the pirate is a needle-drop or taken from cassette. Then again, if I have the Love Songs master-to-CDR, I'm sure others have it.

Oooh, nice! Funny when things like that sneak out. :) (I have a master tape dub of the Bee Gees' "A Kick In The Head" LP as well - complete with a garbled 'Elisa' where the tape was damaged.)
