That is a nice unit, much easier to peruse records face forward than by spine.

I'm surprised the picture of Bob Marley in this setting doesn't create enough irony to generate a vortex strong enough to swallow this whole room.

    There's no irony in hi-fi.

I keep my RCM in the sunroom. It's the only place far enough away to not wake the wife after 10:00. Plus there is a sink out there.

Then why do I own two 8-track decks?

Isn't that Harry W's room? (VPI?).

I haven't a clue. But VPI does know a lot about creating vortexes. My 16.5 has been abused by me for over 20 years and is still sucking.

Here's the link to the maker's Etsy listing. Price is very reasonable at $450 each for the triple. I'm having him add vertical dividers to the horizontal rows too.

Assume $150 for shipping. Could be less if you live closer. He also makes doubles. 1 to 2 week lead time.

It's not the Bob Marley painting that makes this ironic. It's his pour choice of foliage.

I am going to make something similar to this for new records and the play pile. For $450 I would expect it to have a nice finish and no exposed plywood edges.

I built this a couple weeks ago. I had about $150 in material and 20 hours of time.

Those look nice, but is there a reason you didn't space the shelves out evenly? Just my OCD kicking in ;)

I didn't want to keep records that low or that high. The top shelf has some CD box sets and the bottom is storage for cleaning supplies. I measured it to fit in a specific space in a walk in closet.

I'm also having some of these made... roughly 8' wide x 6' high with the flared bottom row to make looking at albums down there a bit easier.

very nice! I wouldn't want to move that up many stairs or around tight corners.

This is nice...does it come on casters? My entire collection is roughly the size of your recent jazz record score, so I suppose that makes it easier to fit it into my listening room!

I think you meant the cabinet but I think this is beautiful:
