Honestly, that looked like nothing to me until Stallone showed up. I have no sense of how much Sly is in this movie from the trailer. If he's not in it that much, it doesn't really interest me beyond catching it on video at some point. If it was written to have an equal share of the Young Creed's journey and Rocky trying to get over what happened to Apollo, that would be more interesting.

"Rocky Balboa" was a charming film which cleaned up the mess that was the Rocky franchise so well I hate to see Sly go and try to make a mess of it again. That said, the trailer didn't look that bad. I just don't understand why Sly has to keep going back to this well time and time again.

There is no character more timeless than Rocky Balboa. You can't just invent new characters like that so easily. He will always be our bum.

any Rocky on film is good enough for me...I can't wait for this...nice to see he's still alive and well! Apollo's son! now how cool is that?

Sly will do it with class. Rocky Balboa was amazing! loved it as much as the first if not more.

I will go see it. It should be interesting to see a fresh story and Rocky in the Mickey role.

He said he had no interest in doing another one (I know, do we believe that?), but this was pitched to him as more about the kid's tough upbringing and it was aimed at a more younger, hipper, urban audience than he could attract as the star of another Rocky. The change in focus and mood appealed to him.

Didn't expect another good film out of this franchise.

    I'm glad to be wrong...

Between Rocky and Rambo, those Sly's most indentifiable roles...a bit like Harrison Ford and Han Solo/Indiana Jones.

    This one looks very interesting.

I saw it at a screening. I liked Rocky Balboa, but I found Stallone's carefully tweezed eyebrows distracting. He looked like a Hollywood star, rather than a retired boxing champion. Luckily, he was less vain in this film, and looked like the broken down old man from Philly he was playing.
