Many of you espouse the superiority of direct drive motors over belt drive. Ok, I will give it a try!

Washer (and dryer), at least it's quiet!

Heh, I noticed the Direct Drive sticker on my Samsung washing machine yesterday and almost did this same thread!

You'll never get cleaner clothes then with an idler wash though.

At least it will rinse your clothes at the correct speed.

    Unlike a Rega.

Try upgrading the power cord. Doesn't need to be anything fancy, just something better than stock. The La Cucaracha alarm signal will have blacker backgrounds.

Nice machine. I'd get a 25lb center weight to use during the spin. Less shake rattle and roll.

Did you properly adjust the tonearm assimuth and anti-skidmarking for your underwear?

Nice! Are you sending it to KAB for the fluid damper upgrade? :)

I hope the rinse cycle uses distilled water.

You might consider getting an outboard speed controller to insure the sloshing is dead-on accurate. A nice vibration control platform, extra large, might also help keep the unit from moving around when it has an unbalanced load during the spin cycle.

Seriously, you'll need some heavyweight damping under these babies to smooth out the spin-cycle oscillations.
