Another vote for Hey Jude. I can't listen to it- it just seems endless.

Gotta disagree about the sax solo in "Diana".
"Give Me Love" by Rosie & the Originals may claim the prize for having both the worst sax solo and worst guitar solo on the same song. Yet, in its warped little way, is still brilliant.

Grant Life is a rock, but the radio rolled me!

It's an old, long thread, so i've probably mentioned most of these already:

I Love Rock & Roll - Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
Old Time Rock & Roll - Bob Seger
Kids Wanna Rock - Bryan Adams
Eye Of the Tiger - Survivor
Bad To The Bone - George Thorogood & The Destroyers
What I LIke About You - The Romantics (we've already established that this is a 70s song, but it screams 80s to me)

Anyway, these songs are among the worst of the 80s rock for me. There are certainly many more that I just can't think of right now. And, it's kind of mellowed on me, but I still never cared for "You Make My Dreams Come True" by Hall & Oates.

'Pontoon' by Little Big Town. Such a boring song, about a boring pasttime, lame lyrics, overplayed at the local bowling alley...ick.

Just about anything Beatles. I like their post-Beatles stuff but that band was insipid.

    I remembered two more

Cat's in the Cradle - Harry Chapin
Argh! This song is so sappy! If I hear "little boy blue and the man in the moon" again I'll scream.

    Beth - Kiss
I was never into Kiss, but lately I've been hearing this song on some commercial, and it makes me want to puke.

    Frankie and Johnny.

The way the melody line goes up and down in the first two lines (Frankie and Johnny were sweethearts ...etc ) is just annoying and unsatisfying to me ....on pretty much every version I've heard.

Maybe totally irrational on my part but as you asked ....:)

I recently picked up BST on CD for 50 cents, remembering that the LP was well regarded for its sound and production. Wow, really annoying from start to... well, I couldn't even finish it. The few hits couldn't save it and the rest? Pretentious. The LP is ok for a sound demo.
