What a fantastic song. It's lyrics paint a portrait that's very close to home. I must admit a deep admiration for this man's talent. Not quite obvious, is it?

I think the OP is gushing about Gabriel and then saying his admiration for Gabriel's talent isn't quite obvious (being sarcastic).

Great song. My favorite by him from his solo years.

Yes, I love the song and the album it came from. Unsung 70s rock classic from one of the greats. Live forever, Peter Gabriel.

I always thought his releasing such a personal song like this, at the time he did after leaving Genesis, must've been very liberating

My favourite Gabriel song. I love it since I was a 10 year old boy.

Definitely. Probably why David Rhodes simplified it when they played it live. I love the original acoustic riff on the LP.

For anyone who may not be aware, it tells the story of Peter tripping his brains out on said hill.

Excellent album. The third one gets all the praise and it's also great, but I do love the debut.

I always interpreted it as being about him leaving Genesis.
