I Me Mine - 10/10 - Great to hear George rock a bit, and I love when the song breaks down and then rocks again.
Dig It - 5/10 - not a song really
Let It Be 10/10 - Absolutely classic
Maggie Mae - 7/10 Another that's not really a song
I've Got A Feeling - 10/10 - Love the rocking rawness
One After 909 - 10/10 - It's that rocking rawness again
The Long And Winding Road - 10/10 - Absolutely classic
For You Blue - 10/10 - One of George's best songs

I like Let It Be a lot. Yes, I sincerely rate "Maggie Mae" a 10/10 for the enthusiasm and it is authentic folk music! I would give the long "Dig It" a 10/10 but this is the edited version. I still love it. Spector smothers TLAWR for me but I don't mind being smothered by Phil on ATU and the title song LIB with that ragged but exciting guitar lead.

I just love John's voice and non-sense words on "Dig A Pony" and no song invites good times or a party like the opening riff and singing of "I've Got A Feeling." That song should be played loud at the start of every outdoor party no matter where! "The One After 909" rocks hard, George is on fire and even John was having some rare LIB fun(there and "Maggie Mae").

I sure wish little bros Scott and Seth Avett would cover "Two Of Us" but they don't listen to me. That is great acoustic music by the Fabs! George holds his own on his two songs. I prefer the single version of GB but this rocks.

That's what I call an uneven album! Some points docked for some orchestration done by mr. Spector (Long and Winding Road) and making tired-sounding versions of things they made before (Across The Universe). The rooftop-songs and Macca's energy save the day.

It's weird how Get Back was released as a Single back in 69, "before Abbey Road", an here it’s the very last cut, of their very last LP almost a year later!

 

Get Back sounds nothing like Abbey Road. What were they thinking ?

 

Abbey Road was made after the Let It Be LP

 

Yeah. Let It Be should have came out in 1969. And Abbey Road the folllowing year.
