  3. That clip brings a LOT to question.
First, how pissed would you be if you were the opposing family?
After 99 attempts, by Steve, to basically tell her she was wrong without giving her a strike or actually saying, "you are wrong", what would have happened if they were to get a worthy answer and continue with the game...and possibly win? No matter how unlikely that may seem with the team members present, it could have happened.
The contestant was obviously mentally stuck. She had a great case of target fixation and could not get away from her single answer.
The reality of target fixation does not help her cause so she looked...well...er...less than spectacular. Yeah, yeah, that's it, less than spectacular.
I think Steve did a great job playing with this, maybe a bit too long, but with great tact and dexterity, all while trying to make a good show out of it.
All I can say is, WHEW! I know someone who will be getting chosen last for family game night team members.

I liked it. It's Steve Harvey basically admitting "this game basically sucks, it's all this other crap that goes on that makes the show sometimes worth watching". Loved when he went into the "Na Na Na Na, Hey Hey" routine near the end.

It is an outtake - Harvey mentions all the editing that will later occur.

He also wouldn't have used the profanity for clips he thought would air...

I'm not from the south, but I've lived there in my past.
Maybe I never got the lingo right, but aren't Nana, Meemaw, and Mamaw words that mean Grandmother?

And I wanted to know if the other family came up with an answer that was on the board. It would seem like the simple "Ma" would have done it.

I think the last two answers were "Mommy" and "Nana".

    I'm pretty sure.

"Mommy" was already included in the very first response - they counted "Mom" and "Mommy" as the same thing...

That was really, really funny. Steve has a talent for seizing a funny moment and running with it.

Yes, that's why this show has seen a renewal in viewers since he took over. He's really better at it than anyone since Dawson at least.

The really strange part here was how the family laughed and cheered with him as if they didn't know everyone was laughing at them.

I saw this clip yesterday and as bad as the lady sounded I could not think of another possible answer myself. It doesn't seem like anyone here came up with anything either. Stupid question!
