We've got one "Pity" already, so I'm less compelled to vote for an ATMP track this time.

Many of these tracks have a mellow George vibe. Track 8 seems to be a pretty chill slot!

    My favs this go-round:

    • Far East Man
    • Someplace Else
    • Your Love is Forever

Writing's on the Wall and Tired of Midnight Blue could easily slide into that 3rd slot for me.

Honorable Mention: "Pure Smokey", "Far East Man", "Run So Far" & "Isn't It A Pity (Version 2)"
also terrific- "Tired Of Midnight Blue", "Someplace Else", "Writings On The Wall"

Ah, now we're talkin'...the track eights are some of my favourites!

"Far East Man" (favourite Dark Horse track)
"Tired Of Midnight Blue" (the Extra Texture song that tends to get stuck in my head the most!)
    "Pure Smokey" (favourite 331/3 track)

Looking at the list of songs, it's true it almost looks like a compilation of chill deep cuts. Add maybe Marwa Blues instead of Run so Far as a closing track, and it would be a fantastic playlist.

I think the polls just show's what a talent George was, sure George reached his peak with ATMP but he never reached the lows of John and Paul after. It's only Somewhere in England (Official release) I rarely listen to.

A very poor list. I voted for one song.

It's a list of unspectacular songs (except for Let it Down, which may be too spectacular for its own good). Unspectacular but quietly beautiful. At least 5 of them (Be Here Now, Midnight Blue, Love Forever, Writings on the Wall and Someplace Else) are amongst my favorite deep cuts of George's, and I know Far East Man is considered just as good by many. Funny how we can love the same artists, but not necessarily the same areas of their output. It took me some time to really get into some of these self effacing songs, but lately, they became a passion of mine.

    Let It Down

    Someplace Else

I must admit, though, I prefer Ron Wood's version of "Fat East Man" to George's.

I just realised that I accidentally overlooked the beautiful 'Someplace Else', a wonderful ballad, which would edge 'Far East Man' out of my top 3, so I have changed my vote.

Yes, the best since tracks 3, I'd say.

    Which song was it ?

It was one of the slow and dull lists again for me.

"Be Here Now" has been my mantra for many years. Gorgeous, simple, direct, meditative. Pure Hari.

Not a bad list. There are 2 or 3 others I also like.

Be Here Now is a beautiful song and one of my faves from Harrison. But it's gotta have the slowest tempo of any song I own.

I didn't vote for this, but now that you have me thinking about it I may change my vote. This is a great song!

Someplace Else. Apart from the two ATMP tracks, I have to confess that I find the remainder utterly dull.
