Nice list of records, and you know looking at those first three, even though it's separated by around three decades, OTC does sound like it's of the same era as the others, definitely laced with the same psychedelia.

Crowded House's Together Alone features only twice in this thread.

For those that haven't heard it, I highly recommend it. In fact, I urge you to do so. It's awesome, and I tell anyone I can, so I'm telling you here.

Forgive me this interlude. Carry on.

So hard to narrow it down.
I supposed box sets are not allowed.

In no particular order. It's odd that some albums that I would choose are not particularly my favorite albums, but ones that would be my picks for a lifetime with only ten albums.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue
    Rush - Power Windows
    Beatles -White Album
Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks
The Band - Rock of Ages
Van Morrison - it's too late to stop now
    Yes - Yes songs
    Rush - All the world's a stage
    Sonny Rollins - The Bridge
    Beatles - Abbey Road

Nice suprise to see that album getting so many mentions. AFAIK their debut is Dave Grohl's favourite, but i also love A Night At The Opera and Sheer Heart Attack - very hard to pick one of these terrific albums, but as of now i appreciate Queen II that little bit more for it's elegant use of the two-sided concept corresponding with the iconic artwork and maybe also for the contrast between the songs quality and their publicity.

Quality production and material like this got lost in the flood after ANATO and Bohemian Rhapsody; as soon as EMI decided they were a chart band that was it. NONE of their 80's material would make it on to my desert island and I LOVE the band......

There's a nice one you don't see mentioned often (ever?). One of my favorites too. Some very good indie pop rock to start out the 2000s, the one before that is a bit of a classic too. Nice list.
