actually like summer of 69 in summer of 85 I was 12. now I cant stand it. didn't hold up too well...

I can't stand every song ever released by everybody. In fact I can't stand music full stop. I have no idea why I even read this forum? I'm out of here.

 

I can understand why that song was popular.... it's got a catchy riff/hook and a simple, singalong chorus.... but the thing I never understood was: who the heck told that guy he can sing? His voice is so nasal that it becomes annoying after about 5 seconds, and he mumbles the vocals so badly that you can't even decipher half of the lyrics!

 

I play in a couple of local bar bands, and I've told my bandmates (on numerous occasions) not to bother ever suggesting that song because I will flat-out refuse to play it. Ever.

 

Any Village People song. Beat that!

 

When the Levee Breaks. I just don't think it goes anywhere. Probably heresy. But I never listen to it.

Y'know, I don't mind some of the "negative threads", but this one seems uglier than most - lots and lots of crude vitriol.

Oh, and a lot of "any song by..." posts, which are always the worst!
