Anyone recognize this old musical? Maybe from early 90s late 80s

The film title I believe is only one word. Its not animated either. This teenage girl in a dress goes to this house, then visits a man in a dark room. They both start talking after the man senses the girl is curious. But the man sits in a chair not wanting to reveal his face b/c something happened to his face. But when the girl tries to attempt the man gets angry. But! At the end of the film, the man's face is restored and he leaves with a woman (not the teenage girl) and he and the teenage girl wave eachother goodbye. The road into the house is sort of down hill if I remember correctly...

I did a google search using the terms "movie musicals 1990s disfigured man" and turned up something called Rigoletto (1993), which sounds like it's what you've been looking for. :)

I take it this is loosely based on the Opera Rigoletto?

Yeah, no s--t:laugh: It's like hearing a song that was big when I was in high school -barely twenty years ago- being played on the local "Classic Rock" station...
