Whew, some great stuff there. I've been feeling a bit guilty about how much vinyl I've purchased lately. Thanks for making me feel a little better!

Foo Fighters - The Colour And The Shape. Appreciate it a lot more divided up into four sides.

A few weeks ago bought Megadeth's Dystopia, which was awesome too, and has the best cover art in years.

Sorry for asking - but was this a used copy? I had a copy in my cart at Amazon this morning, only to discover it was a single disc. Not sure that would stand up to the double disc version.

Just ordered the Complete Sun Ship Session from Mosaic on sale for $79. The Roland Kirk and Clifford Brown sets are on sale as well but
I have those already. Get 'em while you can.

UK import. Paid a little more than I wanted, but this is one of those classic albums I wanted to hear on vinyl.

I have picked that one up multiple times and almost bought it simply because, as you said, it looks beautiful! I'm afraid I would do the same thing you are doing, however, as I am simply a casual Queen fan, so I always put it back. Guess I should sample the songs.

How do you like Raspberries? I was amazed how much better they made it sound as the original recordings are not exactly spectacular! A good example of EQing done right, when needed. The guitars are finally crunchy.

Not sure if it's quite the latest, but did just get the 2015 reissue of the great Laika debut from 1994, Silver Apples of the Moon. A big favorite of mine, so was jazzed to see Medical Records were able to source the original vinyl masters from Beggars (original release on their Too Pure label), pressed on nice and flat 180 gm translucent light gold vinyl, and only $15. It came shipped with record outside jacket to prevent splits, and protected with 2 extra copies of the cover. Very well done.

Happy to reply. No, it's not used. It's a new reissue on double vinyl, in a single sleeve (not gatefold). UMC?. It was about £15 on amazon uk through a third party trader. I bought it after reading the separate thread on the vinyl album on the Forum. It was supposed to be a limited edition reissue back in about 2013 but I suspect it's been repressed again due to popularity. Not played yet. (or checked whether it's 2013, 14 or 15). UK prices for a decent used original on Discogs were crazily high, and it seemed to be daft to me to pay them, when a new double was reasonably cheap.

I thought that it sounded pretty similar to my green label copy, but I need to give it another listen. I mostly bought for the red wax, plus MD had it on sale for $15....actually it's still at that price.

I think the green was considered the best and I have that one as well. Just isn't saying much as their stuff just wasn't well recorded. However, I found the MFSL to have amped it up pretty good and it is finally a fun listen. You got a great deal...I never see MFSL vinyl on sale for much off. I wonder how well that one really sold. Don't know if there are many fans, but I'm glad they took a shot and put it out. Sometimes I'm really surprised by titles they put out...KC and The Sunshine Band? Really? Not well recorded in the first place....but yup, I bought it! And it sounds as good as it ever will.

I've been on a little record shopping spree over the past few weeks:

The best of the bunch for me (this week) is this:

    Field Music - Commontime.

Highly recommended, especially if you are a fan of XTC. Great songwriting!

I've also picked up these either in shops or online:

Smashing Pumpkins - Gish (2011 remaster)
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream (2011 remaster)
Jimi Hendrix - The Cry of Love (2015 reissue)
Aretha Franklin - I've Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You (Mono Reissue)
St. Paul & Broken Bones - Half The City
    Steven Wilson - 4 1/2
HIM - Razorblade Romance (Pink 2014 2LP reissue)
Cheap Trick - Dream Police (2015 reissue - sounds amazing!)
    David Bowie - Blackstar
Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti (2015 reissue)
    Kamasi Washington - The Epic
