In the end, this show was just another disappointment.

  3. I thought it was pretty good and did a nice job of tying up the loose ends pretty quickly. I'd be I. For another season with a new premise.

Totally agree with your disagreement. A wonderful, fun surprise (the show, not your disagreement.)

I'd go for that as well, but the last 10 minutes were a disappointment, particularly in that they changed the original writer's idea, which did not kill off the central character.

I'm trying to figure out how (and whether) they'll bring Matt Dillon's character back!

I'm just wondering how they will do it. We already know the secret. And I don't want a show about those annoying kids.

That's more than likely what you'll get, though. That's the age group the show will more than likely be aiming to draw in <target audience = annoying kids >.

    I hope it's good, I enjoyed the 1st season a lot.

I don't see how a sequel could be good.

The mystery of the show is what made it for me.

I liked the mystery of the show for sure, and that is what initially drew me in, but there is also a huge mystery of what the world outside of this small town has changed into.

Remember, Matt Dillon only went a small way and saw some city in ruins.
There was talk of expeditions going out into the "real world" also, and that might hint at what is coming perhaps?

The "Creatures" are not able to live in cold weather also, so that may open some possibility.
No matter what, it can not be any worse, than that dome thingy!

I'm not sure how I feel about this upcoming season. I looked forward to the first season having read the books. I really enjoyed the first season, save the ending and the psycho kids. I felt they could have stayed true to the book ending and still been able to continue for a second season, since the book ending leaves open the possibility for more.

    Just got DVD Series 1
    ( 3 episodes so far)
    I'd give it a 8/10 rating
    (maybe less).
Good to see Matt Dillon getting something good for a change.

Not up there with Lost and Breaking Bad. Matt Dillon and Juliet Lewis shone in this. But, the shows premise a apocalyptical Planet Of The Apes/Twin Peaks mash up was interesting. New better actors are needed for series 2.

He was the best thing in the series
But, it looks as though Jason Patric's got the gig for series 2.

I thought Terrence Howard who played Sheriff Pope did an excellent job!

Ditto Melissa Leo as Nurse Pam.

Yep, it looks to me like they have a clone actor basically doing a very similar role but a different character. I'm a little concerned since the season 1 showrunner bowed out and went on to other projects. I hope they don't just try to milk this thing.

Why are they bothered investing in this show when their's no A List actors involved now. Didn't hurt Walking Dead though, just saying.

Walking dead and Wayward Pines are almost like the same show! Except in one they're trying to get out, and in the other they're trying to get in!
