I have never heard anything off this album, though I have heard plenty of the disparaging comments. I put this track on as I was surfing and I must admit that I quite liked it !

    Thanks ...:)

Cool! It's definitely the best thing off the album.

I find these great songs saddening for various personal reasons :

Johnny Cash, 'Hurt'.......I find the video, with clips of his wife June Carter Cash, to be very sad.
    Gary Newman 'Complex'
    Cat Stevens 'Father and Son'

Too, too many to count. Today it's "Beck's Bolero" and tomorrow it's "No Expectations." The next day it will be the final counterpoint singing of the Indigo Girls' "Secure Yourself." But then the sheer joy of "Rocks Off" will do the same thing. Lots of songs - even "Rock Your Baby"!

"Don't Go Breaking My Heart" may be the one, however. Not for reasons one might think. "Starting Over" for more obvious reasons. "Rock and Roll Suicide" - the last minute - destroys me. Now I will probably be posting on this thread every time I hear one!

But sometimes it's just an element within a song. I often hear Keith Moon's drumming and it moves me to tears - complex feelings regarding his incredible abilities that make me marvel at what people can do, but also in response to the contrast between his incredible zest for life and his senseless death.

There is a fill toward the end of "Who Are You" that is the exact same fill he used in "Substitute" so many years before, and I think of the young Moon and the "old man" (a mere 31 when he recorded it!); how young and old he was, and the valedictory nod (intentional or not) to the young man he was and would never be again.
    Gets me every time.

You can hear that fill (nothing very complex) at 5:45:

I prefer the 'clean' version: "It's A Monster Trucker".

Try this version of River. There's something about a bunch of people coming together to sing and feel that really amplifies things for me. If you like this, check out their YouTube channel. They do a lot of great songs.

I can't think of any song that makes me want to cry every time. It's always situational for me. I must admit that when I saw this video earlier this week, I was moved to tears--not just because of his untimely passing but because I was really feeling what he was conveying.

Jóga by Bjork. Gets me everytime.
On Hyndford Street by Van Morrison is quite emotional for me.

The last five minutes of Supper's Ready by Genesis can get me too.
