We evicted "The Apartment Song" and said 'Goodnight baby" to "Alright For Now."

Two more need to go this time.

Discussion question: When did you last play FMF? Has your opinion changed since you first heard it?

    T9 Alright For Now
    T9 The Apartment Song
T11 A Mind With A Heart Of Its Own
    T11 Zombie Zoo

Last played a couple of months ago. I enjoyed the second half more than I remembered (although that's probably as much to do with the improved equipment I'm listening on compared to what I had when it came out :) ). I still feel that it pretty much dies after Feel a Whole Lot Better, but that first half is killer.

It was on cassette so I would say a long time ago.

Many full moons ago. For some reason I've always loved "The Apartment Song" and I'm sad to see it go. Apart from the Byrds cover I'm sick to death of side one, so I'm probably going to end up dropping out of this race once "Feel A Whole Lot Better" goes.

This was the first new Petty album that came out after I became a fan (at the age of 8 or 9). I loved it then and I love it now. I listened to it within the past year, I'm sure. It may be time to spin it once again.

DQ: Playing it right now. No, my opinion of how good the overall album is has not changed.

Same two here. Disappointing to see Yer So Bad take a "lead" so far. One of my favourites on the album.

DQ: I played not too long ago, probably in the past few months. Still really like it.

I listened to it very recently, I have the gorgeous, fully dynamic 24/96 download that Chris Bellman mastered from the original analogue tapes supervised by Ryan Ulyate and Tom Petty; Face in the Crowd sounds SO good.

DQ: well before The Great Vinyl Purge Of 2000. Great when it came out; still holds up.

How did "The Apartment Song" get voted out already? I know it's a throwaway--but it's my favorite song on the record!

DQ: I like this LP, don't love it. Opinion hasn't change much.

Been a while - maybe not since I got the MFSL CD like 13 years ago.

No change in opinion. Thought it was good but not great in 1989, feel the same now...

I remember it from the summer between high school an college. I didnt really like it then and dont now either.
A dorm mate of mine had an extra ticket for the local Petty show that tour but I didnt take it. I kinda regret it now. I did see TP and Heartbreakers a few years ago; it was good.

Sorry I missed the first two rounds of this. I love FULL MOON FEVER. Along with DAMN THE TORPEDOES it is my favorite Tom Petty albums. Whenever I make a list of my 100 favorite albums it is always on my list. There aren't any songs I dislike.
In any case for this round I vote off:
    Love Is A Long Road
    Depending On You
And I would not have voted off Zombie Zoo yet. I love that song!

DQ: I don't know that I've played this since I ran this album in a WL game in 2007. My recollection is that I liked it from start to finish just as I did when I first heard it.

I really like that one too. I don't consider it a "throwaway" at all. It would probably be in the final 4 for me.

Listening to FMF now. I voted for "Face In The Crowd" and "Yer So Bad". It's getting harder and harder to choose...
