Yeah when I watched the updated versions streaming on Amazon the sound balance was all over the place like you said. I am always amazed how projects that are all about one or two primary goals can totally miss such a screw up on one of the two. Really sad and unprofessional.

    No one like user testing!

The stupid thing is that there are meters and stuff that will measure this nowadays (the "ITU Loudness" spec). Without it, the dialogue winds up being way too quiet while the music and effects wind up being way too loud.

I think the Xbox versions had just the effects in 16:9 and the live action still in the original 1.33.

I'd enjoy that but every time I mention it as a preference people say it'd be distracting :p

    That would be very distracting.

    Decided to pre-order @ $59.99.
    Thanks for the heads up.

I had the HD-DVD set years ago, horrible disc navigation.

    Will do!

I am kinda low on space, so the smaller the pack the better.

Thanks! I agree smaller is nice, but have you been subjected to those tight cardboard sleeves that make it almost impossible to remove the Bluray out of the sleeve? for example the Lost In Space Bluray set...unbelievably horrible packaging! Never have I read as many complaints on the web as with that set!

I hate that type of packaging. I then have to put the discs in jewel cases which makes them take up more than twice the room. Any sleeve that is too tight or a disc hub that makes you almost crack the disc getting it off is no good!

and in many cases the Bluray discs can get scratched removing and returning them into the sleeve! I'm hoping this is not the case with this set! that's why I've been searching for pics...if it is I will not buy it! enough with this cheap paper crap...yes, those plastic lock down hubs royally suck as well!

I had the HD-DVD set also; each disc had the HD-DVD version on one side and the DVD version on the other. It was very expensive--almost $200 new.

A store near me has a huge pile of HD-DVD discs, including Star Trek season one, plus a player, for $5o. So far no takers.
