I know exactly what you mean. That's why I hate when tours or shows are announced like 8 or 9 months in advance.
    I'm morbid that way.

Half of these artists are European so a show over here would be appreciated.

"First dips on the bathroom!" So many interpretations, I don't know where to start.

The Stones have generally been keeping a short lead time on the 50th tour. They've also shied away from festivals to some degree.

  13. As I wrote earlier
I'm all about any artist making $$$ on their art but thought this was interesting:

I just calculated that I spent a total of $55 to see all these acts in the 1970s ( every single one, Inc Pink Floyd) in San Francisco. Add in the Last Waltz at $25 (Inc Thanksgiving dinner) it's still all under $100. (Which is around $450 in today's dollars ).

I'm a big critic of insane ticket prices. BUT standing front pit at $266 a band for top tier acts doesn't sound too bad. I mean I dont have that cash anyway or travel and hotel. But $266 top price for up front with Macca seems almost reasonable!

I do hope that they somehow offer a $10 evening pass for the whole world to watch online & give all the money to charity.
Also I think its great Neil is there in a funny sort of way I think he may feel the most humble of of the six acts even with his incredible discography.
Really hope we can see this live over the three days then a DVD later in the year?
    Cheers
    ps
Is Harvey Goldsmith behind this or is he retired now? it has a kind of Live Aid feel to the line up somehow.
If Phil had better health just maybe, maybe, just saying.

    • Lineup is subject to change.
    • Venue will open at 2:00pm each day.

    a) ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE !!!

    b) There's already "dead pool" betting out there for this festival.

    c) The final "end of the Sixties"?

    d) I'll wait to rent the DVD, thank you very much; I'm old, and don't fancy enduring camping and festival conditions for three days.

Didn't read the previous entries on this post, so I'd like to just comment that the only real celebratory concert I'll
be attending will be the Keith Emerson memorial. Yeah, Prince died last week and was a musical force in the
early 80s, yet Prince will never be a tour de force that Emerson was amongst the mucic community of the late 60s
    to the late 70s...

Gonna see this summer Brian Wilson, Elton John, David Gilmour, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple & Paul McCartney. Those guys + the fest will be the perfect puzzle. + Gary Brooker in November.

Led Zeppelin & Genesis guys are missing...

    I just scored a VIP/sound-check package for Arnie's event - only $66.00. Totally stoked.

Don't know what any of that has to do with this concert, but thanks for the update!
