Wow, I might almost have gone just to hear that. But yeah, Pino is not Entwistle-who the heck is? Nobody, that's who. Not even the amazing Geddy Lee; just a different thing. Listening to Entwistle was crazy enough but actually seeing him another. Not just what he played, but what he didn't play-sometimes just holding a note or not playing at all. Reminds of the the comment from an American guitarist hired for Kitaro's American tour (I think for The Light of the Spirit?) about how Kitaro was teaching them that the space between the notes was just as important or more than how many notes you played.

I'd make Paul learn Uncle Albert.

I'd tell Neil to give Cinnamon Girl a rest.

I'd tell the Stones to play Fool to Cry.

Ya, I was super happy when all of a sudden they were doing "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" which is a huge fave of mine, but I hadn't even though about them playing it until they started.

...and I think I'd tell Elton to skip "Take Me To The Pilot"-heard that one enough times, time for something different.

The Smithereens without any covers of The Beatles or The Who. I'd much rather hear their original material (which is very strong in itself) than waste the setlist by adding of covers of songs which are already masterpieces by the respective artists who originally wrote/recorded them.

God, this one is so easy.

To anyone: I've already heard your records, that's why I showed up. So skip those. Play me an hour and a half of great new songs I've never heard before.

Oh come on now....."Hey Jude" would be great if it was just a little longer and had more audience participation...

For Eric Clapton's 70th anniversary shows, I would have included the following:

    Steppin' Out
    Cat's Squirrel
    Please Be With Me
    Let It Grow
    High
    The Core
    Behind the Sun
    Burning of the Midnight Lamp

There would still be room for his usual songs, such as I Shot the Sheriff, Cocaine, etc.

Hmm, I don't know some of these, have to find them. Is "Steppin' Out" valid without the Cream guys? "Behind" yes, and "Burning" a very interesting choice.

    I'd add:
    "Mainline Florida"
    "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
    "Tulsa Time"
    "Riding With The King"
"Tales Of Brave Ulysses" (I forget, he sang this?)
"Eyesight To The Blind" (I like his version on Tommy)(actually this could be a really cool and different opening number)
and bring back Phil Collins on drums

This thread title appeals to me and I am often confounded by my favorite artists playing Greatest Hits sets with a handful of new songs and typically ignoring deep cuts. Just yesterday I read that a-ha is playing exactly two Cast in Steel song on the Cast in Steel tour. WTF?

    Depeche Mode's Delta Machine:
    1. Secret to the End
    2. Wrong
    3. Walking in my Shoes
    4. In Your Room (Devotional mix)
    5. It's No Good
    6. People Are People
    7. Lie to Me
    8. Shake The Disease
    9. Heaven
    10. Should Be Higher
    11. Things You Said (Mart, 101 version)
    12. Home (Mart, full band version)
    13. Dream On/Personal Jesus (acoustic medley)
    14. Soothe My Soul
    15. Enjoy The Silence
    16. Never Let Me Down Again
    ---------------------
    17. Broken
    18. Halo (Devotional mix)
    19. Everything Counts
    20. Behind The Wheel/Route 66 (medley)
    -----------------------------------
    21. The Sun and the Rainfall
