    I missed the news, Jack.
It's a shame they didn't include the original STRIPPED in some fashion, 'cause it blows the new live-only CDs outta the water, I'm afraid.

My Japanese box has a circled "1" where region codes are usually listed. I can play the discs, and you can, too, I'd bet.

In your opinion Rock, which song is the best on the new cd?

I've only played it once, John, and to be honest, nothing jumped out at me. If I had to pick one right now, it'd be "Rip This Joint," complete with a hot false start ... then Keith starts it again and it's pretty hot.

Thanks Rock. I believe if I remember correctly the version of Gimme Shelter was the one that appeared on the Stripped Wild Horses cd single.

For me, the best song on the new CD would have to be Gimme Shelter...It's one of the best live versions they've ever done IMO.

Yeah, region 1 for blurays is Japan and Americas. I think it's different coding for DVDs.

    Bbanderic is right.

This was actually taken from the Amazon Germany site. Blu-ray regions are listed as letters, ABC, they are not listed as numbers, DVD's are. This is clearly listed as ABC which means all region. Also, verification on lossless audio, LPCM Stereo and DTS Master Audio surround. Buy with confidence folks, no worries!

So, I believe amazon.com in the US is making a marketing trick on those who could not read or google search.

My Blu-ray pre-order on Amazon.de is showing as EUR 36.13 plus EUR 3.90 for postage & packing to the USA, for total of EUR 40.03, which works out to $44.61 USD at the current exchange rate.

I am happy with this price, as it was listed at EUR 42.01 when I pre-ordered on April 25th.

The arrival date is listed as June 15-20th. Can't wait!

Anyone have a good price on the 3 DVD set? All links here seem to be for blu-ray...

It just keeps going down....it's so cheap I went with Global express shipping and it's still only $66 total :).

Looks like Amazon.de has the three-DVD set for EUR 34.99. Not sure if it can be had cheaper elsewhere. There is also a five-disc version, which appears to include the original film on DVD and a CD, for EUR 44.99.

Serious question, and I apologize in advance if this has already been answered, but why such a price difference between markets?

You mean the one with the "rehearsal intro"?

I notice it says "NTSC Region 0" which on the surface seems odd for a European edition. Wouldn't we excpect it to read "PAL Region 0"?

Is there any way to tell from this image whether this is truly a pic of a European edition and not just a 'stock' photo of the American version?

This question's open to anybody. Thanks.

most TVs accept both signals and all music titles should be NTSC due to PAL's 4% speed-up.

edit: you can also see the subtitle languages that indicate this is a european release.

All the previous European editions have been the same - no reason to think this is any different.

I just checked my boxes from previous years - from Some Girls Live in Texas till Marquee 1971. For all: NTSC Region 0.
