Loses points f0r spelling Suzi Quatro wrong.

Nice to see Slik featured, though it's neither of their hits. I totally forgot about them when compiling the poll.

I have to say I'm surprised this poll has done so well. I thought it might be a one page wonder.

All The Young Dudes has been in the lead from the beginning. With Starman, Jean Genie and 20th Century Boy hot on it's heels. Thanks to everyone f0r voting.

I never considered them Glam myself, but they were a part of that golden time.

All The Young Dudes is like the glam anthem, as soon as I hear the first few seconds of that song it takes me back to 72,
Same with Fade To Grey by Visage, for me that song sums up the new romantic period more than any other.
There were certainly not the biggest hits but that doesn't matter, they sum up their time perfectly.

I considered them more pop than glam, just like I think of Queen as rock.

Yeah, it's different for everyone. All great records though. No matter what you label them.

I prefer Girls, Girls, Girls, oh, and January! As a song Glass Of Champagne, was great, too!

Apparently every single episode was wiped. David Bowie performed Starman on the show weeks before he did it on Top Of The Pops. T.Rex's only TV performance of Truck On Tyke was on the show as well.
Neither of them seen for over 40 years.

Really difficult to limit them down, though I did, as I like all of them, with the possible exceptions of Chickory Tip, which I only play on my fromage Friday mix and I have to be in the right mood for Rock On.

Not often you see a list of songs and don't find anything to take offence at!

Gutted to see I missed out on a picture sleeve for The Ballroom Blitz. Maybe got the single as a pass on, and the sleeve is still on a bedroom wall somewhere?

Great song! One of EMIs great hopes - they failed miserably, and started playing hair metal in the 90s!

Terrorvision did a rollicking version on Forever And Ever; I always had a soft spot for Requiem.

I have their debut album on CD. One of those 7TS titles they used to put out. Requiem is my favourite by them. It should have been a bigger hit.

I got the generic RCA sleeve for Ballroom Blitz too. That picture sleeve I posted could have been a European one. They seemed to have a lot more 'picture bags' than us.

I had a similar experience with Rock On by David Essex. I bought it from my local record shop in it's standard CBS sleeve, only for a mate to buy it a few days later (from somewhere else) in the picture sleeve I posted! I was crushed! I did get the picture bag editions of Lamplight and America, though.

Terrorvision, B sides and rarities, is well worth getting, apart from Forever and Ever, there are great versions of Glad All Over and You Really Got A Hold On Me.

I've never owned any Slik apart from on compilations. I agree that Requiem should have been a bigger hit, it was clearly doomed, damned and died, far too soon!

I think Requiem reached the mid-20s. I remember it featuring a lot on TOTP.
