James Bond 25 - Speculation and Anticipation Thread*

Although it might seem controversial, I wonder if an animated Bond movie might work? It would give us a Bond that would be an exact match to the way that Fleming describes the character, and it would deal with the issue of the changing of the actors (consider that Kevin Conroy has been one of the regular voice actors for Batman since 1992 [23 years and counting], longer than any actor has been Bond on the big screen [even when adding in the non-canon movie Never Say Never Again]). Considering what was done in an anime called Golgo 13 (about the world's greatest assassin), it should be possible to do a solid, serious Bond movie in animated form.

 

It's safe to say we know who's not going to be 007. Any bookies placing a bet on who's going to be the next James Bond ?

Ironically outside Bond,his last good film imo was Layer Cake. I hope his departure will prove as productive as Pierce Brosnan's.

 

Jesus, now the tabloids are reporting that Jamie Bell (formerly the star of the original movie Billy Elliot) is in talks to take over the role of James Bond for the producers...

I suppose they could redo the "Bond starting out" concept that they tried in Casino Royale, only this time with an actor who's actually young instead of pushing 40.

But Jamie seems a little small for Bond.
