    The title says it all.

For the purposes of this poll, we are looking at art/graphics not used on UK LPs. This eliminates cover art that was identical or similar to that of the UK counterparts (e.g., Meet the Beatles, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver, MMT).

The composition and color scheme of Second Album is unbeatable.

Went with Second Album because that was one of the first records I bought, but all of them are really pretty cool.

Something New would be my second pick. It looks sooooo 1964.

Aftermath, what do you like about the Beatles Story art?

Not sure, really. The simple bold graphics, I guess.

Love this one! I always wondered if this was the original cover idea for the scrapped Best of the Beatles compilations.

Hey Jude for me. Flimsy collection but best cover second only to Abbey Road.

Next to the butcher cover of Y&T, which didn't last, I believe only Beatles 65 remained iconic of the choices given

That's what I just voted for. Strange compilation but great cover, obviously meant to be similar to Abbey Road.

Hey, I'm with you, man! I fell in love with that cover the first time I saw it in the racks at a Gimbel's department store in the Mayfair mall in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin!

The waving-flag imagery, which spills off the cover and gives a sense of motion, combined with the raggedly torn, overlapping close-ups and the super-elongated type, is incredibly powerful. The inner gatefold photo of them on stage in Washington D.C. is also a killer, as is the presentation of it (see below) with the band's name partially obscured by the ragged top edge.

I believe the cover was designed by Capitol's art director, George Osaki, who did most of the U.S. album covers for The Beatles. With the exception of "Yesterday And Today" (the common 'trunk' version), I like all of the artwork on those U.S. albums.

I particularly like the "Help!" cover -- another gatefold, but with lots of color photos -- and "Something New" with the dramatic black border and the white and orange typography along the right-hand side.

first thought the butcher sleeve but I really love the Second Album artwork.

Meet The Beatles to me looks better than With The Beatles also.

It seems strange, but it's simply the remaining singles tracks that had never made it onto a US album.

Fair enough but still, some of the US similar covers were still better. The blue lighting on MTB was cooler than the white on WTB, Help had better graphics, RS was darker therefore more eerie.

Interesting; thanks - I edited my post. I guess I looked at it as I did all my mid-70s purchased LPs that were on the Apple label (and marked "Manufactured by Apple Records") but had the Capitol logo on the jacket. So, The Beatles Again/Hey Jude was more akin to the Red and Blue compilations that came out in '73 - purely Apple Records? I'm assuming that the Red/Blue albums came out in the UK, but did The Beatles Again/Hey Jude?

    Not a Capitol compilation
Hey Jude is often mistaken as another North American Capitol compilation, when in fact the album was central to a new contract put together by new manager Allen Klein which promised EMI the right to repackage Beatles releases in exchange for a higher royalty rate (from 17.5% to 25%, or $0.69 per album). The album was compiled by Allan Steckler, who focused on songs not appearing on previous Capitol releases. - See more at: Hey Jude (United States, 1970) - About The Beatles »
