The best disks don't have barcodes :)

I'll have to pull out my anthrophobia chart:

    - Do they also have ear hair? (-1)
    - Is said ear hair actually long enough that it's actually making contact with me? (-5)
    - Is the person constantly asking me questions? (-1)
    - Are they asking themselves questions? (-10)
    - Are they large enough that they take up two bins? (-2)
    - Are they actually starting to eat those bins? (-7)

    :)

Next you'll want people lining up in an orderly fashion on the subway platform. Kind of like this:

Perhaps these are just extremely stupid people who believe their fancy phones are so incredibly smart that they can extract the contents of CDs by simply scanning the barcodes.

Just curious, what makes you think "these people" would be "high on pot"?

I just like to say "high on pot". I think that's a line from Animal House or Caddyshack. I will try to confirm with my friend who can quote movies like an idiot savant, his wife calls him "Rain Man".

  8. The scanner fad for CDs has died down from what I can tell, there isn't as much profit in it now that most of the larger Baby Boomer collections have already been divested or picked through. I would imagine it's mostly useful now for estate sales.

Sometimes I scan a cd or record if it's something I haven't heard and I want to read a quickie review...

I sometimes use my cellphone to see if I already have the record or CD I'm looking at.
