Are they serious? So much then for Early Takes Volumes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ....

Terrible news-- but I'm not surprised as far as the Early Takes "series" is concerned. Why call a rarities disc Vol. 1 when it's part of a special project? Never made sense. Still, I thought there would be some re-boot of the rarities releases. Sad for us, but I suppose Dhani would like to move on.

I might be wrong, but since the question was about reissues, so we can assume the answer deals about reissues also.
"I don't think there's more (reissues) to be done in the future. I think we’ve reached a good level (of new editions of the back catalogue)."

His answer doesn't rule out any NEW MATERIAL related publication, like further "Early Takes" volumes.

Bootleggers are high fiving right now...not saying it's all out there, but a lot of it is.

I read it that way too. And, if that is indeed what was meant, I think that George's catalogue is indeed at a "good level." Unreleased material (or a collection of rarities/non-album tracks) would be most welcome, but I think the albums have been taken care of properly

I think it could probably means that there are no more plans for future releases of the studio albums of George. Lets pray!

All Things Must Pass deserves a super deluxe box set that includes all of George's demos, a new de-Spectorized stereo mix and a 5.1 surround mix.

    BUT the follow-up question was:

Interviewer: So, Dhani, are there any plans for the vast amount of unreleased tapes done by George?
Dhani: You mean the stuff we threw in the trash? ...

  16. Dear Father in Apple,
Please make Dhani's comment refer only to previously-released albums.
    Amen.

To paraphrase Macca, Gone Troppo is a nice little album!

I don't know if Dhani wants to move on just yet, seems to enjoy using his dad's records and legacy to keep himself in the public eye

As long as the tracking was dry. It would be great. Otherwise impossible.

The tracking was dry, as bootlegs have shown. Tracks like "Let It Down" are so raw that they would fit in Plastic Ono Band....
