Because we're listing brands, not just pieces. If you have anything customized, you're gonna have more brands in it. Hell if you have a tubed amp you might as well throw in Sylvania, JJ, or whatever the tube brands are.

Sansui 99%: Cables (2 pair of 'High-Efficiency' '80 spkr cables and all 70s/'80 interconnects including 2 pair of '80 'High-Efficiency' ), '80 'High-Efficiency' connectors, '80 TT, '80 TT rack, very early 60's 45 RPM record adaptor (wicked!!) from old APS console, 2 pr speakers - '70 ported and '70 acoustic suspension (both pair AlNiCo(s), early '70s speaker stands, '87 X901 amp, '80 tuner, 70s ash tray & butane lighter (I did quit smoking though), 70s coffee cup, 70s playing cards, and a 70s NOS Swedish Sansui Racing Team jacket patch - framed. Took 7 years and 6 countries to put it all together - you know... find all the 'stuff'. Fun! Only non-Sansui item... a NAD C515BEE CD player, sounds 'surprisingly' nice with AlNiCo(s). I like it. Works for me. --- The other 2 stereo systems in the house: Sony tall stack (wife's), 2 chnl and 5.1, and another bedroom stack mixed.
My phono setup... 1. Fisher 800C tube receiver (30wpc x 2) 2. Dual 1019 turntable (and various vintage carts) 3. Wharfedale W90 speakers (a dual 3-way design with 6 drivers per cab and alnico magnets throughout) I'm shopping around for a DAC at the moment. I like the one I have, but if I run across something really-sweet that I can score for like half the new price or better, I'll be all over it. Its just that there are so many different models out there, some with a headphone amp and some without. The W90's are a permanent addition. Listening as I type this. The 800C is a great match for those speakers.
Whoops... Forgot my headphones... Grado RS2's, which I've really grown to love over time... Probably my last stop before 'stats or planars... The RS2's will keep me happy while I try and make sense of the madness that is the top of the headphone food chain. Maybe I'll go with Stax, but maybe not. Not even sure if electrostats are for me at all, but I'm no more certain about planar-types either. The RS2's were like $500 as it is, and they're great. But to really take a significant step up from there, you're talking about twice that much, and that decision is gonna' require some serious thinking before I pull the trigger on anything. An awful lot of money just for a pair of headphones. I also have a pair of Wharfedale 80th Anniversary Denton reissue speakers. Limited edition. Nice little speakers from a few years ago.

I've been using this since 2008, only the Oppo headphone amp, Linn Akurate and speakers are a little younger. It is advanced, but easy to use. I've never had a system for such a long time as this, and no longer have a need to upgrade anything, except from maybe a better pickup.
