Signed copies are not of particular interest to me. Here are some I have (and probably one or two others that I can't recall which would have no collectable interest):

LP: The Black Sorrows - Harley and Rose
LP: The Troyleanes - Lyrebird Yodel [This was a souvenir record from the house band at The Cuckoo Babarian restaurant (traditional yodelling), every copy I've seen (op shops/ebay) has been signed, so it's no rarity]
    CD: A Mary Schneider compilation

    1) Yellow Submarine HMV Deluxe Box Set (HMV U.K. sold these special 12"x12" box sets in limited editions when the Beatles CD's were first released in 1987. Signed by the late George Martin at the HMV Store in London on the day of release.

    2) "Great White Wonder" (bootleg first edition purchased in Hawaii, 1969) signed (as a joke) by Bob Dylan. St. Paul, Minnesota in winter 1980.

There are more signed LPs/CDs around than I would have thought -- no wonder the ones I have aren't worth that much. The autographed LPs I have, or had, were bought at garage sales, estate sales and the $1 bin in various record shops and I can't verify them, but they do look like verified autographs. These include:
    • Lily Pons - Arias from the Daughter of the Regiment (78 rpm)
    • Ezio Pinza - Boris Godunov Excerpts (78s)
    • Blossom Dearie - Blossom Dearie Sings (Daffodil LP)
    • Pavarotti - Primo Tenore (LP)
    • Tito Schipa - Arias (signed Program stuck in the LP)
    • Elizabeth Cotten - Shake Sugaree (LP)

Pretty much... otherwise people could just list whatever.

I could claim to have a 1st state "Butcher Cover" fully signed, but what does that mean unless you can see it?

If one is a liar then that is their sad sorry state. I think folks are being honest here in all the postings.

Have you met any legends and gotten things signed? There aren't that many thrills that equal meeting a Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin guitarist especially if you get any quality conversation time with it.

I never tried to fill the collection with autographed items. This kind of hero worship is silly to me. The few I have, I would have bought anyway (with or without the signatures).

Debut album by Those Darlins (signed by the whole band)
An LP by Dr. Feelgood (signed by Lee Brilleaux only)
A couple of Dr Feelgood 7"s (signed by the whole band)

Plus a few LPs/CDs I bought at various gigs.

Well of course, the idea is to have the album anyway, and it becomes an iconic classic all by its self, and then you get lucky without even trying and it gets signed, like it was rock 'n roll fate! Mysterious and meant to be.

Off the top of my head...

    LPs by...

    Peter Hammill
    Steven Wilson
    Echo and the Bunnymen
    Mark Burgess
    Christine Collister

A few CDs bought at concerts.

A few books, mostly autobiographies or novels written by comedians.

You can't do any of this with downloads or streaming.
