I've contacted non-US sellers before on both Amazon Marketplace and eBay that do not offer international shipping and politely asked if they would be willing to ship to the US, making it clear that I'm well aware of how high international shipping costs can be. I've yet to have one decline - the last time was only a couple of weeks ago, and the seller's only stipulation was that he'd have to use a trackable method with signature required - he'd apparently had too many packages go missing that were sent with no tracking, which is why he'd quit selling to international buyers.

 

Don't they sell any rock music in Canada? All you guys ever seem to post is classical, power pop, and tv show box sets. C'mon guys help a rocker out.

So after ordering the Coltrane SACD from amazon.ca I was expecting it in a day. Well it's gong to take longer. Seems they are shipping this from an Amazon
warehouse in Washington State!. Strange. First time I've seen that.

So they are shipping it from the US but won't ship this to a US address?

 

That's happening a lot now. I have a package coming from Kentucky (from Amazon Canada) that showed as 'in stock'.

Jimmie Rodgers complete box set on Bear Family for a good price. I went it. Wondering if it might be some kind of re-issue, not that it bothers me.

I don't know what your problem is. It makes perfect sense to me.

 

I'll proceed with optimism in that case. A number of old LP-size box sets now get reissued in a cube for half the price.

 

Not terribly expensive on Amazon.com either for those of us here in the "Continental".
