They put two albums and an EP into the UK top ten. Somebody must have liked their music.

Not sure if these are underrated but they are lesser known and epic:

Butthole surfers : independant worm saloon.
    Dinosaur Jr: where you been?
    Afghan Whigs: Congregation
    early 90's paintera
    Deltron 3030
    Dr. Octogon.
    Midnight vultures.

    I nominate Lush Split.

Their other two proper albums charted higher, but Split is arguably their best.

Of course somebody did, but in America I'd still say overall they are underrated. By the way, as much as I love the two albums I posted (Copper Blue being in my top favorite albums of all time), I totally dislike Beaster... and I've never heard a live Sugar performance I enjoyed either.

    Definitely one of their best.

It's tied for my favorite PJ album along with this one (which is often listed as a least favorite among many PJ fans):

Swedish band from the late 90s that only released one, really good, record, Evolution...I guarantee that absolutely no one here has heard them. Stooges/Suicide/Nico are good reference points.
