It's much easier when you're not playing an instrument like each of the Beatles.

They "win" against a no-longer-in existence band? I guess it doesn't take much to compete in your neck of the woods! :D

And an aside on your repeated comments about ticket/album sales . Certainly the Stones continue to sell a gazillion tickets to their shows, and continue to sell albums. And their album sales (overall catalog) are fantastic. Clearly top tier. Only trouble is, if you're making this a competition, they're going up against a band, long since defunct, that sells even MORE albums.

Mick plays guitar on stage! The Rolling Stones deliver a "3 guitar assault" live!

To call the Beatles quitters because they broke up sounds like some emotional comment with no thought to reality. It's really absurd with no basis to make such a outrageous statement. " but it is what it is." It is? No I don't think it is!

Oh but it is. Factually: it is. Taking all emotion out of it, it's factually correct!

It's great that people still listen to Keef.
He can come out with any old **** and it's treated like a long lost unreleased 1965 Dylan LP has been found.

Factually: it is. Please explain the facts why the Beatles are quitters?

Thank you for posting that. Yes, this is the clip I'm thinking of, though I did remember it just a bit differently: this is it.

You know what? Come to think of it, I guess I was mistaken. The Beatles never quit, they just kept making records after 1970, they had a brilliant career and strings of hit records throughout the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's... and you know what? The Beatles are still going strong to this very day! Stronger than ever, in fact. As a live act, they are giving the Stones a run for their money, even in their 70's. It's incredible!

    There. You happy now?

What I find incredible, is when Keith says something derogatory about Mick, everybody agrees with him in a "Ra ra ra! Sis-boom-bah!" kind of way. Nobody defends Mick, but he makes a comment about a band who hasn't even been in existence for over 50 years, and they get bent out of shape.

    Unbelievable.

You can't give a rational answer. Just what I thought.

You don't even have the faintest idea whom my musical sacred cow is, holmes! I'll tell you this much: it's not The Rolling Stones.

It's more like The Beatles were enders rather than quitters.
When one hits the summit of Everest and never needs to do it again..is that a quitter?

By many reports, The Who had a rough time sequencing Quadro.
Skyn was honed and ready to go.
LS also was said to blow away the Stones at Knebworth.
    It happens.

Nah. Lynyrd Skynyrd were far too classy to just blow The Who off the stage.

They gave them "3 steps" towards the stage door!

Every time I see Hendrix I always think, man, that guitar is really holding him back.

Keith was so unimpressed with the Beatles as a live band and their overall image that he copied their hairstyle and fashion sense for several years. :biglaugh:

Well, Baba, I may disagree with much of what you say on the forum, BUT...anyone who uses a George Carlin clip to make a point (even if I'm not quite sure what it is) has to be respected. By me, anyway.
