It would have to be signed by Syd and Rick too to be worth that much...

Wont be a problem if it was planned since 1995

I'm probably in the minority but I'd go for only the post-Syd stuff.

I'm guessing that the actual price won't be more than $300.

I read back when the Immersion set came out (I can't quote sorry, no longer have the forum link) that some people believe the 72 mix to be fake or made up or whatever they said at the time. What the red flags are I don't know but I personally love that 72 Early Mix on Immersion.

    I love this mix too!
Maybe the new box will include the Waters Dark side of the moon song written for Meddle?
Its said that it may be an early version of Brain Damage

This is such a stupid rumor. The mix is real, created by Alan Parsons for the band to listen to before they went on break for the holidays in 1972. Parsons confirmed this and went into detail about the mix. Why would they even attempt to fake something like this?

That would make me quite happy, I hope you're right.

I totally agree Ron, I do not believe it for a second. I was only going back to a previous comment that lead Mando_Dan to ask about the red flags the poster was talking about.

Yes I realise you were just bringing it up and not backing it up. I was addressing the naysayers that did. This was an official release by one of worlds biggest and most respected bands. The folks that started that rumor made themselves look pretty stupid.

By the way, that 1972 mix was one of the best things of the Why Pink Floyd...? campaign.

I think some people just need to have a conspiracy. They are not happy unless something is amiss. Pretty sad.
That 72 Mix for me is as good as the finished piece.

No chance, it doesn't exist anymore. Unless Nick Mason was able to dig up a copy from his own archive, but I doubt it.

Also i ve gotvthe strong feeling that the Scream thy last scream which maybe included is the original mix minus the 1968 Nick Mason vocal.
So i hope we hear finally how Syd duetts with his chipmunk voice in the studio)

I've been on the forum but have not seen her post anything like that. I think she's been under unwarranted scrutiny as of late.

I'm expecting a copy of the press release. I'll share the info here if I get it before it goes public.

$700 is like 45 dollars a disc which sounds suspect, more like 300 or 250.But,if it is 700 I have to say I would skimp and give up other stuff to get this(if it's what we think it is).Since my first Floyd book by Miles in 1980 I have been waiting on all these mythical things so it's the price I would have to pay.

Hmmm not sure, I always thought it was around the Pompeii era.

Dunno. Around the time of the Piper 3cd set, Mason said they came close to including STLS, but it belonged to the Saucerful era. And he said he thought it was a pity, because "I share the vocals with Syd".

Yeah it must be some time towards the end or later. They were approached about the Gini adverts in 1974 and it was written after that.
