All the talk of the box set's enjoyable yet incomplete material led me to making this thread.

I proposed on there that deluxe editions of each album would be a welcome treat, and while the 1997 Remasters are already beautifully done, this is how I would compile each album from the debut through 1996's Unplugged.

These deluxe editions still do not include everything that might be out there. Rather, they are merely one fan's fantasy in regards to the tracks "I" would most like to see on each deluxe edition.

Songs in bold reflect "fantasy mixes" on my part. These are alternate mixes I'd like to hear yet have no knowledge they actually exist in the listed form (nor exist as listed).

My thanks to the kiss-related-recordings website and kissmonster.com as a source for including many of the real unreleased tracks, demos and outtakes that exist out there.

    Kiss Unmasked Deluxe Edition

    2 cd + 1 DVD
    Cd 1 remaster of album
Cd 2 Kiss live soundboard recording @ Palladium july 25, 1980 (Eric Carr's first show)
Dvd Kiss live @ Palladium July 25, 1980 (full show on DVD)

Although this show has not been documented with soundboard recording with full video. I find it hard to believe Bill Aucoin didn't document this important show in Kisstory.

It's my fantasy deluxe edition of Kiss Unmasked

    I would definitely buy it!

I haven't yet made it to the beautiful yet maligned bubblegum gem better known as "Unmasked". Who knows what I'll have in store for that deluxe edition! :)

In a heartbeat I would (re)buy every album if it was simply released in a 2 disc format. Disc 1 is the original album (with the obvious appropriate bonus tracks), and disc 2 is just a live show from the corresponding tour. It all already exists! A few pics, some nice liner notes, that's all it would take.

  7. Dark Horse 77

Dark Horse 77 A Parliafunkadelicment Thang

I'd definitely buy all the studio albums if they were given the deluxe treatment the right way, not the lame Love Gun treatment from a year or two ago. The debut should have all the 1973 demos, imo.

    DISC THREE - COMPANION DISC
Soundboard recordings of tracks from sides one and two.

Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Eddie Kramer discuss the making of Kiss's landmark double live album. Gene and Paul pay tribute to the unwavering loyalty of both Neil Bogart and Bill Aucoin and talk about the ironic and unlikely success of releasing a high-priced double live album at a time when it was neither fashionable nor practical.

    DISC FOUR - COMPANION DISC
Soundboard recordings of tracks from sides three and four.

Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Eddie Kramer continue their thoughts on the making of Kiss's landmark double live album. Gene and Paul share their thoughts on performing on TV's Midnight Special earlier that year, on the impressionable packaging of "Alive!", and life as newly-crowned superstars as 1975 drew to a close.

"It looks like we're gonna have ourselves a rock and roll party tonight..."

Maybe they could do big deluxe sets by time period, rather than album (since there are so many)...

    1976-1977 (Destroyer-Rock and Roll Over-Love Gun)
    1979-1981 (Dynasty-Unmasked-Elder)
    1982-1984 (Creatures-Lick It Up-Animalize)

Well, these are merely my fantasy deluxe editions for the music, not dvd's. Granted, everyone may not be as crazy about these packages as I would be.

Still, I'll talk with Paul and Gene and see what I can do. :)

Thanks for browsing through all of them! I'll tell Paul and Gene they have at least one sale. I'm sure even one sale might make them pursue this project! :)

  20. @If I Can Dream_23, so the ones in bold, you just made those up outnof your own imagination?

No "Deuce (kazoo mix)" or "Goin' Blind (fast version)?"

Actually that "group of threes" idea coincidentally falls into very easily definable "periods" almost perfectly:

    1974-1975 (KISS-Hotter Than Hell-Dressed to Kill) - book-ended by the Alive album
1976-1977 (Destroyer-Rock and Roll Over-Love Gun) - book-ended by the Alive II album
1979-1981 (Dynasty-Unmasked-Elder) - Gene/Paul/Ace era - Peter is only on one Dynasty song
1982-1984 (Creatures-Lick It Up-Animalize) - Ace is out - the revolving door of guitar players era
    1985-1989 (Asylum-Crazy Nights-Hot in the Shade) - 1st stable lineup since the original with Carr/Kulick - ended only by Carr's illness/death
    The 1990s (Revenge-Carnival of Souls-Psycho Circus) - Kulick/Singer era + the original-lineup pseudo reunion album
    The 2000s (Sonic Boom-Monster-Future Album) - makeup imposters era - Thayer/Singer
