Same issues regarding the Who too. Portions of Magic Bus and My Generation are edited on Live At Leeds because they contain bits of copyrighted material, Spoonful being one of the bits I remember. The question remains is it actually difficult securing rights or is it a bottom line money reason? Ron

And the crossfades were dispensed with. They DO listen now.

The situation with The Who track could also come down to them not wanting to give any of it away hence the edit. I know for the Zeppelin HTWWW release, they cut out Heartbreak Hotel and Page commented at the time that they (the publisher) wanted too much money for it's inclusion. So they opted to cut it out.

Makes sense in a way. If the royalty rate per song is, 8c I think, and one of the publishers wants 4c even though their song appears for 1 minute in a much longer track, it does seem unreasonable.

I mention a case where once all the publisher royalty asks were added up, they amounted to 107% of the royalties because everyone was asking too much. lol.

I believe that is for the vinyl only. The super deluxe is showing $153.

What's the difference between the Super Deluxe ($153.89) and the vinyl + 3CD ($111.60)? Looks like a 48 page book and a print.

Yep, my mistake: Led Zeppelin - The Complete BBC Sessions Super Deluxe (3CD/5LP 180 Gram Vinyl) - Amazon.com Music »

I'm generally not a fan of the "super-deluxe" box sets (I only bought the deluxe versions of the LZ reissues), but in this case I think it's be worth buying. And the reason would be all the audio on CD/Download, and the book. In this case the book (supposedly) has all the detailed information about the recordings, when and where they occurred as well as photos from each of those events.
