Good price. I have a feeling, however, that eventually there will be some lower priced deals for this one.

Pink Floyd - Early Years 27 disc box set is £280 cheaper if you order from Amazon UK instead of Amazon US. If you're in the US, it works out to $420 shipped from the UK once VAT is removed vs $700 excluding shipping from Amazon US. The Early Years 1965-72: Amazon.co.uk: Music »

You're welcome. Don't worry. By experience, I would say that they usually respect their early low prices.

Amazon.co.uk has some of the Five Original Albums boxes for around 9 UKP. I just picked up the Rick Wakeman, Steve Hackett, Fairport Convention and Graham Parker boxes for about $50 total shipped to the US:

That's about a 5% markup, using Amazon's currency conversion. It's been mentioned before in this thread, but you will save by paying in GBP (depending on your credit card's foreign transaction fees).

Yeah I know... Unfortunately the card I used charges a foreign conversion fee so it's kind of a wash.

But I agree that if you are using a card that doesn't charge the fee, you should pay in UK pounds.

I know it's not a deal breaker, but you would still save over Amazon's 5.5% with foreign-fee cards. Most cards which have fees charge at most 3%.

My card charges something like 3% PLUS another bit per transaction.

Since Amazon sometimes (often) breaks up shipments, I can wind up with 2-3 separate conversion transactions, and that kills the savings. But again, I agree that generally speaking, if you have a clean one-and-done purchase, just buying in UKP is better.

No such thing. It's GBP, because the currency is the British Pound.

I thought it was pound sterling :D

  16. The ISO code is GBP, Great Britain Pound. The official name is Pound Sterling, that's correct.

Cool! :righton: I was able to get The Johnson City Sessions yesterday for 44 pounds. I wish the Bristol Sessions were on offer as well...
